Created by employees in 2008, Community Connections is BC Housing’s community giving program. The program centres on four main pillars our employees have identified as being close to their hearts:
- Equity and Social Justice
- Indigenous Peoples and Reconciliation
- Mental Health, General Health & Substance Use Disorders
- Sustainability & Resilience
Whether it’s taking part in our annual donor drive, volunteering through employer-supported volunteerism, collecting food, clothing and other household items, or participating in fundraising campaigns, Community Connections gives each of us the opportunity to “give where your heart is”.
Since its launch, Community Connections has raised over $3.5 million for more than 250 charities, volunteered thousands of hours to local organizations, and continues to bring BC Housing employees together in the spirit of generosity.
