BC Housing’s Employee Benefits

Employee benefit plans provide security and contribute to the health and well-being of employees and their families. Depending on employee status, BC Housing employees are eligible for a range of benefits under our benefit plan. Employees' spouses and dependent children are also eligible for coverage under some of the benefit plans as soon as the employee becomes eligible.

BC Housing is also proud to offer a Flexible Benefits Program . This program enables every eligible employee to choose the coverage options that work best for them and their families. The Flexible Benefits Program also includes a provision for employees to potentially have a Health Spending Account (HSA), and any amounts in the HSA can provide additional reimbursement of eligible healthcare expenses not otherwise covered under the group benefits plan.

BC Medical Services Plan (MSP)
Provides full subsidy for the monthly cost of the government medical plan.

Extended Health and Dental
Provides coverage for dentistry work and to reimburse for services not covered by the BC MSP or Pharmacare plan.

Provides 24/7 accidental death life insurance for yourself that is payable to a beneficiary of your choice. There are also pay outs provided in the event of major physical injury caused by an accident.
