Local government partnerships
The Province of British Columbia, through BC
Housing, is working in partnership with eight
municipalities across British Columbia to develop new
housing options to individuals who are
homeless or at risk.
As part of the provincial housing strategy,
Housing Matters BC
, the provincial government is providing capital and
operating costs to develop new supportive housing on city-owned
sites in the following communities:
Vancouver,
Victoria,
Kelowna,
Surrey,
Abbotsford,
Maple
Ridge,
Campbell River
and
Nanaimo.
The Province has committed to spend more
than $520 million to create 23 new supportive housing
developments. See a
