Creating New Housing
As a provincial crown agency, BC Housing
works with all three levels of government, community
stakeholders, the private sector and non-profit partners
to develop new housing and support options to address housing needs
in local communities across British
Columbia. Check out the programs below to
find out more information:
-
Local government partnerships - Partnering with several BC municipalities to develop supportive housing units to help individuals break the cycle of homelessness.
-

-
Provincial Homelessness Initiative - Developing housing with integrated support services to help individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
-

Since 2001, the provincial government has committed

affordable rentals for individuals, seniors and families with lower
incomes. To date, the majority of those units have been
completed.
