Women at risk of violence

For women (with or without dependent children) at risk of violence, the options listed below can help to connect with shelter, housing and support services.

PROGRAM OFFERS         

Women’s Transition Housing & Supports Program
Safe temporary shelter/housing, crisis intervention and support services
     
Emergency Shelter Immediate temporary shelter, food and a variety of services
     
Supportive Housing Registration Service Long-term supportive housing for individuals requiring support services to achieve successful tenancies
     
Subsidized housing Long-term housing with rent geared to income. Applicants who are fleeing domestic violence or abuse, are homeless, or who have a serious health condition that is affected by their current housing, may elect to have a Supplemental Application Form completed by a third-party verifier as some housing providers give additional consideration to applicants who meet these criteria.
